NES Ambassador Games are Available Now

Popo and Nana the Ice Climbers are also ambassadors.

If you bought a 3DS before August 12 and and visited the eShop you can download the 10 free NES games now. To learn how to download the games click here. The games you will recieve are:

Nintendo's September 13th Event

Here We Go!!!

Nintendo is rumored to be having a 3DS exclusive event on September 13th and will include an announcement for "an extremely big title." If this is true I don't know what that game may be. Part of me thinks it will be a completely new game and part of me thinks it may just be an announcement for multiple games coming out apart of existing franchises. Either way I'm excited.

My Nintendo 64th Post

It is my 64th post so I had to mention the Nintendo 64. That system had some of the best games and the most awesome name ever. Though I never understood why mostly every game had 64 after the title:

Star Fox 64

Wreck-It-Ralph

Disney is making a new movie that is looking to be pretty awesome. John Lasseter, head of Disney animation, says the premise is this: "This is the story of an 8-bit video game bad guy who travels the length of the arcade to prove that he’s a good guy". He also said that it will be like Who Framed Roger Rabbit saying that " “many video game characters you know and love, from past to present.” As readers of this site may be aware that Nintendo is very protective of their copyrights but it would be cool to see Mario or other 8-bit hero in the movie. The new logo recently popped up online:

3DS Sells big in Japan

After the recent price drop of the 3DS, the 3DS went from selling around 30,000 the week before to selling 215,000 last week. You can read more about it here.

Operarion Rainfall: Phase 2

The movement of Operation Rainfall is quite interesting. A large group of Nintendo Fans are trying to get  a few Nintendo published JRPG games that are coming to Japan and Europe over to the United States. I'm a supporter of this and would buy one of the games if them came out over here. Today statement was made for phase 2. You can read more about it here. This phase will include another letter writing campaign.

Kirby Mass Attack Main Theme

Via an article on GONintendo, I found the main theme for Kirby Mass Attack for the Nintendo DS, what may be its swan song. You can listen to it after the break.

If you have a Nintendo 3DS I highly recommend you download the Nintendo Video application from the eShop. The app downloads new videos for you and deletes old ones. The videos range from animated shorts and music videos to movie trailers. So far they have had some videos from College Humor, a very weird OK GO music video and a trailer for Captain America amongst other videos. My favorite video so far was the college humor Dinosaur Office video. You can find the website for dinosaur office here  at http://dinosauroffice.com/ I emailed the Dinosaur Office website and was able to get some information on future Dinosaur Office videos:

"Thanks for the kind words, I'm so glad you liked Dinosaur Office. We're not sure if there will be any more Dinosaur Office on the 3DS yet. College Humor made 5 videos for Nintendo, and Nintendo is going to pick one of them (at least) for more episodes. Hopefully it will be Dinosaur Office! "

Opinion of the Week: Whatever Happened to Pins at the Disney Store?

I used to go to the Disney Store all the time for one reason, pins. They used to have a lot of pins then it dwindled down to a few, now they have been gone for years. They are just throwing away money. They can't use the argument that "If you want pins go to Disney World" because we all know it is not that simple. Sure they sell vinylmations, but I don't collect those and the pins take up a lot less space so I do not see what the problem is.. I have no idea why they got rid of the pins in the first place but I think it is about time to bring theme back to the Disney Store!
