The Epcot Wand, or lack Thereof

Rember this?
It may have been taken down in 2007 for Epcot's 25 annivarsary but does anyone miss the wand? I know I don't. There was never a point to it, does Disney think I'm that stupid that I don't know what park I'm in. You pay 80 dollars or however much the admission is I think I know where I am. Was there ever a need for that wand? Am I the only one still upset 4 years after it was taken off?! Don't even get me started on the whole Epcot/Epcot Center thing, I'll write about that sometime.

  1. The wand was there for the Millennium celebration and was supposed to be temporary. After the year-long celebration, they decided to keep the wand up, and replace the "2000" with "Epcot" and left it up due to their guest polls about the wand. Personally, I don't miss it, and am glad to see it left.

  2. It made sense during the whole new millennium celebration, but beyond that it did not have a place there.

  3. Considering the year 2000 was my first ever trip to WDW (and my only other being in 2005), it holds a special place in my heart. I have never been to Epcot when that wand hasn't been there, but it will be interesting to see it without it for the first time in 2 weeks. :)

  4. With it it looks like a carnival, without it it is a symbol to a great park.
